WELCOME

Welcome to Christ Apostolic Church, First in the Americas Youth Ministries website. To God be the glory great things He has done and is doing in the CAC youth ministries.

“Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth,” we read in Ecclesiastes that encouraging young people to do this is the reason for our emphasis in the youth activities. The direction in life chosen by the young people under our influence is very important to us. Their salvation and spiritual growth is our primary goal.

The mission of CAC – First in the Americas Youth and Young Adult Ministries is impacting the youths through the message of the Holy Bible, to create spirit-filled young men and young women who love Jesus Christ and planting seeds of discipleship and fellowship to grow great Christians.

We have seen a tremendous growth in our youth ministries and are blessed with a team of eager, capable, and committed, spirit-filled leaders – who are stupid for Christ. By the grace of God, we are on the way to doing great things for the Lord through the youth magazine and newsletters, Bible studies, spiritual revivals, community evangelism and social activities.

Goals:

To help all members get a better understanding of the bible and encourage all members to read the bible on a daily/ weekly basis.  We would like to achieve 25% usage of a study bible by our regular members.

To utilize technology for the purpose of spreading the word of God and providing counseling for members. We would like to have 75% of members as friends on CAC Youth Ministry Facebook page to participate in any discussions or for encouragement.

Family Visits: To expand our ministry and preaching to the outside of the Church. We would like to start by ministering to families of the Church, in their homes. The idea would be to encourage communication between the parents and the youth as well as encourage family prayer and family bible reading. This would be a good way to help strengthen the relationships that the youth have with their parents as well as their siblings. We would like to visit at least 3 homes in 2010 in the hope to increase that number the following year.    Encourage more Sermonettes by the Youth and other CYM leaders which will display their learning of the word of God. We would like to achieve two Sermonettes every two months.

MISSION STATEMENT
It is our mission as overseers of the music ministry to:

  • be wise stewards in the careful and gracious utilization of the musical gifts with which God has blessed our congregation
  • have an aesthetic sensibility in choosing music that is the best we can offer in terms of what is appropriate for worship and in terms of matching individual and group talents to musical styles and selections, whether they be classical, traditional, or contemporary

VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is for the creation of an environment that encourages and enables participants to be equipped to lead the congregation in worship.

GOALS

  • identify and develop the musical talent of the church
  • inspire fellow musicians, fellow worship leaders and the congregation through the use of musical talents
  • bring together the choir, organists, and praise teams in unified expression
  • provide a variety of instruments/styles with different teams, in order to allow the congregation to fully express praise to our Lord
  • emphasize a spirit of worship while maintaining musical excellence

To allow for spiritual expression in all of its dimensions: praise, confession, supplication

Scripture: Matthew 28:19 (NIV)

19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a]the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

To spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to every race, creed, and ethnicity with love. Communicating with people on the streets face to face and truthfully answering their questions to the best of our ability is our goal.

As evangelist we will be expected to conduct ourselves in a Christ like manner at all times. We are also expected to know the basic steps to salvation and to speak boldly in front of others.

Living in the Light Bible study

*Ps 119:105 Your word is lamp to my feet and a light to my path. *

*1 Thes 5:5 You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. *

VISION

The vision for the bible study is to develop a area of ministry where young girls can come to Christ by learning more about Christ, gaining a greater understanding of God’s word, and applying the items learned to their lives.

This will be accomplished through Bible readings, controlled, open discussions, short video clip presentation and fellowship with one another.

PLAN

  • Meet every other Friday
  • Begin with an occasional icebreaker to encourage the females to learn more about each other, encourage friendship, and encourage fun.
  • Have topic ready to go. Should be the same or similar topic as the male bible study.
  • Open with prayer, close with prayer. Asking the youth is there anything they want us to pray about to encourage the youth to pray for one another.
  • Read scripture, explain the background
  • Discuss the topic w/ questions to provoke application to individuals’ life.
  • Every bible study will end with “Something to think about” question, statement, phrase, etc, something they will think about the   rest of the week
  • Occasionally, there will be some video clips used in relation to the topic. *Note: Use of audiovisual materials   will be pre-arranged at least a week in advance*
  • Occasionally, I will use music with biblical lyrical content to support the topic discussed at hand.
  • I hope to have food every Friday, light snacks. Occasional Meals
  • Maybe once every 3 months, on an off Friday, we can plan an outing?

1 Peter 4-11

9 Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.

10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:

11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies-in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Mission statement

Serving others with passion, love, and care while building strength in ourselves and our communities.

[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Single in the Ministry”]

1 Corinth 7: 32 –35

I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided. And the unmarried or betrothed woman is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit. But the married woman is anxious about worldly things, how to please her husband. I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord.

The purpose of the singles ministry is to create a support group for singles over 18 in CAC and eventually other churches and as a forum on how to live as a Christian single, and what to look for in a mate. All those that are not married are invited to participate. With the understanding that there are different levels of being single we will try to incorporate programming for those that are single, dating or engaged.
