Christ Morning Stars Christian Association are unique members of Christ Apostolic Church First In The Americas. The association was inspired by our Matron, Lady Evangelist Onatokunbo Browne to start a group for teenage girls in the church. The mission was to promote a daily walk and prayerful life with God as they enter their marriage life setting good examples to the community at large. The group was established in 1986 with six members – Sister Wunmi Ilori, Sister Shola Adesanya, Sister Bunmi Ojo, Sister Adenike Ojekunle, Sister Adeola Dokun (nee Oyedeji), and Sister Idowu nee Akinbajo. The name of the association was spiritually inspired by God as the teenagers were rising stars which bore Christ Morning Stars! The association was blessed with spiritual leaders as Presidents: Sister Adeola Dokun, Sister Bunmi Ojo, Sister Adenike Ojekunle, Sister Seyi Sonubi and Sister Olufunke Obadina who served for many years. The association is blessed with our dynamic Matron, Evangelist Onatokunbo Browne who is an amiable woman of God and a prayer warrior whose leadership and service are exemplary! The association is also blessed with Elder Ayodele Oke, our Patron; a spiritual father and who has blessed us in remarkable ways.
As the word of God said in Mathew 5 vs 14.
“Ye are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid”
Christ Morning Stars aspires to be the light of the world. Our mission is to help evolving young women start a prayerful and committed life with God as they enter their marital life. Christ Morning Stars believes in Jesus Christ the Son of God as the author and finisher of their faith. We believe that with God all things are possible. The members express spiritual love and harmony among each other and with the church at large. Members support the goals and aspirations of the church and contribute willfully to her progress.
Over the course of Thirty-four years, the membership grew, and members have married and moved to different States. Currently, there are 14 active members within NY, NJ, Boston, and Maryland. To God be the glory! Our members are all Godly wives, mothers, church workers, and are well established in their various professions. Our mission to be “The light of the world” still stands as our members are well represented in various ministries of our church; Such as Choir, Good Women Ministry, Food Pantry, Goke Oyedeji Humanitarian Outreach, Prayer Warrior Ministry, Children’s Ministry (Nursery) and we even have a representative in the cleaning department, who volunteers to clean one of our sister churches.
Our current President, Mrs Alonge is supported by a Vice President, Mrs. Uyi Aghedo, Secretary, Mrs. Aminat Alausa, Treasurer, Mrs. Wunmi Ilori, Social Secretary, Ms. Susan Thomas and Prayer Leader, Mrs. Titilope Odupelu.
